President & CEO

Aaron Miller

Aaron's been a lifelong fossil fanatic, collecting fossil shells and rocks on family roadtrips across the American West since his youth. Inspired by his lifelong passion for natural history, particularly trilobites, in 2004 he started his first business, Pangaean Treasures, and within a few years built up a successful import business from Morocco - supplying fossils, minerals, and other geological oddities to businesses, museums, and private collectors worldwide. During 2014, he made a decision to change the business name to something more...pronounceable, thus Ancient Earth Trading Co. was born, in 2017 he established his LLC.

Over the years, he has supplied specimens most notably to the Houston Museum of Natural Science, the Natural History Museum at the University of Oslo, Museo del Desierto Chihuahuense, and many others worldwide!

His work has allowed him to travel and collect fossils and minerals from Morocco, the Czech Republic, Mexico, and here in the United States. Traveling abroad to see how they collect and prepare fossils had a huge impact on Aaron, while he also established secure supply chains for his clients. Beginning in 2014, he changed his focus to domestic fossils and minerals that can be legally collected, prepared, and sold. He has extensive knowledge and experience hunting the Monterey, Santa Margarita, and Temblor Formations in California, the Jince Formation in the Czech Republic, the Green River and Lance Formations in Wyoming, Central and Southern Morocco - including being skillful in sourcing from North West Africa, and the world famous Hell Creek Formation in South Dakota excavating dinosaur fossils.

Aside from field and preparation work, Aaron's passion for paleontology and research has allowed him the opportunity to be a speaking guest at several notable venues along the West Coast, including two presentations at La Brea Tar Pits and Museum in Los Angeles for the Southern California Paleontological Society and employees of the museum. He has also given many presentations to various clubs and schools throughout California. In 2008, Aaron donated web space for the world famous website, www.trilobites.info, created by Dr. Sam ʻOhu Gon III, and can name quite a few 'bugs' since he specialized in trilobites for his first 10 years of business. More recently he created the Facebook Group, Central California Rockhounds, and manages a community of over 25,000 like-minded individuals who have a passion for California geology, if that is you, feel free to join!
