Fossil Stoneware
A dense limestone quarried by hand in southern Morocco, this fossil marble is denser than a traditional marble, making it great for home use as decorative bowls, jars, tiles and more. The fossils within the ancient marble are roughly 420 - 380 million years old and are the remains of prehistoric squid (orthoceras) and goniatites (primitive ammonites). Each of these pieces has been quarried and hand carved by artisans in southern Morocco.
