Odontoceti indet. (similar to Hadrodelphis) Extinct Giant Dolphin Sharktooth Hill, Bakersfield, California Miocene Period - 15 million years old Tooth measures : 2.31 inches (1 in. = 2.54 cm.) This is an unidentified dolphin tooth. Feeding wear on the tip of the tooth, which is normal for this species, otherwise this specimen is incredibly well preserved. These teeth are commonly mistaken for "Prosqualodon" by many sellers, this tooth is probably from a group of giant kentriodontids and other non-sperm whale dolphins.
