Thunderegg Cambria, California Nodule : 6.34 in x 3.30 in 1 in = 2.54 cm / 1 cm = 0.39 in These thundereggs are also known as "Highway 46" or a "Templeton" thunderegg, a major highway in the northern San Luis Obispo county of California. The large nodule has a rich blue and light tan rhyolite shell, with pockets filled with a rich root beer colored agate, lined by light blue banded agate and quartz pockets! The exterior rhyolite itself shows some nice "mushroom rhyolite" characteristics. When turned, an effect is seen as "moving lines" between the tightly packed shadow agate bands. Learn More -
