Presented here is a prone trilobite that is known as a "Flexi" as a common nickname. When found in an prone position, it is meant the specimen was found in a "living" position. Famous for it's abundance within the Ordovician Period marine outcrops, it is an index fossil. These Flexicalymene from Ohio are wonderfully detailed and their calcified shells shimmer nicely!
