One of the most famous trilobite fossils from the UK. Infamously, first described as a "flatfish" in 1698, it was not included into the trilobite family for near a century afterwards. Known for it's distinct disc shaped pygidium and rounded, near flat, appearance, this species of trilobite are some of the most well known from Wales.
